No events are recording even though we know we are creating them to test it.

My site has the Google Analytics pageview tracking code installed into a wordpress file called "exclude me" which I uploaded directly through the CPanel. This was in order to create a cookie to pemanently exclude my PC since my IP kept changing. The rest of Google Analytics is still working fine, just no events. If we were to add the Google pageview code back to the theme files, we have duplicated stats. But you can segment with them.

@david: You can setup events in advanced segments and compare segments of visits who performed an event vs. visits who didn't perform an event. The only issue with attributing credit to events in this way is selection bias (ie. the reason why the check out link is so valuable) So for this analysis you really want to use true test and control groups ala website optimizer.

@kirby: We have examples at: http://code.google.com/apis/analytics/docs/tracking/eventTrackerGuide.htmlNickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07298613952446925742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3580069.post-22833958286768951912009-10-27T21:57:34.403-04:002009-10-27T21:57:34.403-04:00Where can I see actual working examples? The only thing is the PDF exporting.

It would be great to have the ability to export a report that lists all the actions, with all the labels and their numbers underneath them. At the moment, it seems like we would have to export individual reports for every single action to achieve this. We would love to be able to export a report of every single action inside one category, with all the detail of the labels underneath.

I have looked in Custom Reporting, and it seems that no Events Tracking metrics have been added. This would allow to you to use Website Optimizer and other goal-related functionality on content sites that don't have typical "conversion funnel" characteristics.Eric Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01588189056604414087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3580069.post-38137498456833802222009-06-05T16:56:35.456-04:002009-06-05T16:56:35.456-04:00@Eric
