New Free Google Analytics API Dashboard Application

If you manage many Google Analytics profiles, it can be difficult to stay on top of all your top line metrics across accounts -until now. Trakkboard is a free, easy to use desktop application that allows analysts to create dashboards that pull data across different Google Analytics logins and different Google Analytics profiles to display top level metrics all within the same view.
This application was built using the Google Analytics API by our friends in Germany, Trakken GmbH and is available in English, German and Spanish. Once downloaded, you can add multiple Google Accounts, select Google Analytics Accounts and profiles, then choose from any of the pre-canned report widgets. The report widget will then appear on the dashboard. This process can be repeated with other Google Analytics Accounts, Profiles, and Widgets - and your customized dashboard is ready to use.
What's really nice is each report widget can be configured to automatically fetch new data from the API at a regular interval, for example, every hour. This dramatically reduces the time it takes to see top level metrics across all your accounts.
- 15 different report widgets available
- Top/flop keywords widget (movers & shakers)
- Drag-drop and resize report widgets
- Update all widgets at the same time
- Update individual widgets at set intervals
- Use tabs for more dashboards
- Resize report widgets
- Notes widgets for comments
- Add up to two Google Account Email addresses
- FAQ Center available in English, Spanish, German

Very nice concept. I am looking forward to using this soon.
I had trouble getting more than one widget to appear on a tab. When I add a second it seems to replace the first.
IT REALLY JUST OVERLAYS THE FIRST... DRAG IT OUT AND THINGS ARE FINE.

You should warn people that this is not a native application and is built with Adobe Air! Many people myself included will not use adobe air applications.

Thanks. I always worry about apps that synch w/google products (security), but this thumbs up direct from Google makes me a bit less worried.

Trakkboard is a very nice tool.
Besides, it's a pity you don't offer the Name/URL option for identification when posting a comment.
I prefer that one.

This is really great - make our lives easier. Could this be made applicable to Urchin as well?

Downloaded and installed the application. But, when trying to use the software it says the license key is wrong. I am using the one which was sent by email.
More over there is no contact page on the site. No contact email.
Frustrating.

I thought the app was very disappointing. It only gives graph data, no totals for periods of time. It is very limited in which data it pulls from the API. It also seems quite buggy - the data such as top keywords didn't match the actual top keywords in my Google Analytics account. And when I turned it on today to give it a second chance, half of my widgets were gone.
I was also under the impression that it would combine data from 2+ profiles, and it doesn't do that at all. You can just look at more than one profile at the same time.
Combining profile data really should be at the top of your feature wish list, or I pray to god some developer finally puts a useful client together that will allow this!

The one thing this is missing is an output key - either print or send. Other than that, excellent!

Absolutely fantastic tool, not for in depth analysis but superb to help keep on top off multiple accounts in real time and at a glance or click, lifesaver!

I'm very concerned about how the email/pwd might be used by this company. Is it encrypted? How is this data protected physically? Which employees have access to it?
Seems like pretty basic questions, and none appear to be addressed. In fact, there is no posted Privacy policy that I could find, nor is the link working in the FAQ.

I am pretty unsure where my login data goes and there is nothing about security issues on trakken.de

Won't install for me. Just says the installer has been "mis-configured" and I should contact the author. Don't know how to do that.
