In today's economic climate, data-driven marketing and website decision making is increasingly important. If you have solid Google Analytics skills, more than ever, your talents are needed. But, even if you're just starting out learning Google Analytics, we have some good news for you.

Beginning today, we are offering an online course in web analytics techniques and Google Analytics implementation, administration, and analysis tools. The course is offered free of charge to everyone who is interested. In addition, we're also offering a test you can take to prove you are qualified in Google Analytics -- the Google Analytics Individual Qualification -- or IQ test.

It costs $50 to take the test. Once you pass, you'll be registered as Google Analytics qualified. You must receive a score of at least 75% to pass, so even if you already consider yourself an expert, be sure to at least review the online course before taking the test.

For more details or to start the course, simply visit ConversionUniversity.com. There's a FAQ with all the details and a link to the Google Analytics IQ test.

Best of luck!

Will there be any Logo associated with Google Analytics IQ exam just like AdWords Qualified logo?

Ok I think the bandwidth has met its capacity. The presentations having a problem displaying, try again in 30 seconds.

just taken the exam and passed, got the certificate but be great if there was a logo to use like GAP

Google rocks with these online courses about Google Analytics because it will be a great resource for beginer web developers.

I'd like to throw my hat in for a logo too - smaller business (and new start-ups) who aren't yet in a position to apply for the Authorized Consultant program could benefit greatly from being able to demonstrate their abilities.

i just passed the exam, but as there is no way how i could share my certificate, this doesn't mean too much sales pitch for me :(

BusinessHut said...

Agreed. If not already in the works, we need a logo to display. If I have to say I got my Google Analytics Individual Qualification in text only, I might as well just call myself a Google Analytics Expert and save my $50.

I took the test. It was very difficult...

I agree with the others, I passed but would like a logo to show that I passed!

Erik Vold said...

How is the test structured? is it all multiple choice? are there long answer questions?

Also if you pass the test what proof do you have? and how can you verify that someone else has passed?

Can We have some Quizzes in each lesson such as on the Google AdWords Learning Center? And the logo is useful for all so to certificate in public that we are Google Analytics professionals..

i'm with the others! the test is a great idea (like the Adwords qualification) but we should be able to promote these on our sites via a logo that we can all be proud of :-)

Pleeeeease provide a logo or seal for those who pass! I can't tell you how important this is!

Greetings,
Thanks so much for commenting on this blog post about the Google Analytics IQ test.

Your feedback is really important to us and we will definitely take these comments into consideration as we continue to assess different ways to recognize those who have taken and passed the test.

Cheers. eva

In my opinion this training only proves that you know how Google Analytics works. But as Avinash Kaushik once said: it's 10% tool and 90% brain. Passing the exam doesn't tell anything about your Web Analytics skills.

The online course is quite cool.I plan to translate all slides' note into chinese and share with my friends at www.chuhongming.com

So, I guess we are quite a few of us that have passed this certification test as individuals that are not part of a ‘larger analytics company’. Let’s team up and act as a global company to leverage testimonials, annoying admin work etc. I already have a company setup.
Email me your certificate to jens.buch@gmail.com. If your certificate is valid, I will send you an invitation to join a ‘closed’ facebook group where we can discuss things further.

The test is multiple choice. If you go through the material they offered, you should know most of it. Some questions are poorly worded, but dont dive too much into it. If you've work with GA and go through the material it shouldnt be too difficult.
I agree with everyone here about the logo. Without it, it really means nothing if people cannot verify the truth. I dont want to post the certificate on the site.

I passed the exam, didn't get any certificate. I felt like this was just a comprehension test which should be given out at the end of a training course on 'how to use Google Analytics'.

+1 for a badge, I assumed this worked like GAP. If current/potential clients can't see or verify that you're proficient in the fundamentals, what's the purpose of this test? I doubt many of us would have forked over $50 for an "atta boy."

On a more positive note, the training material was solid, it clarified a few nagging issues for me.

Thanks for hearing us out.

The test is super easy, but now I want a badge of some kind, and some sort of proof...

Jens Buch said...

Is there is any update on the badge for the people who passed the GAIQ test? It is now a month ago that you made the test available. Unfortunately there has not been any update from google's side on this matter.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all your great comments and feedback on this. I can tell from the thread that this is an important issue, and we're actively reviewing the idea at the moment. It's great to hear your thoughts on this.

Thanks,

Sebastian

1 badge here please. Show me something for the $50.00. I feel Like it's kind of a rip off without a website badge

Jens Buch said...

Sebastian: Thank you very much for letting us know that you are thinking about a solution for this. It would really be great if you could come up with a badge for this (just like with adwords).

I have passed the test, and now I'm wondering if there is some way that I can get event tracking turned on for my account? so that I can play with it..

Passed the exam. For those that are just starting make sure you learn the reg ex and cookies sections. The advanced sections are critical for understanding the in-depth workings of Google Analytics.

Any updates on this, Google? It may seem superficial, but that little badge goes a long way for those of us who have earned the certification.

I wanna badge too (pouty face). :-)

I am planning to give a test but just waiting for Google Team to introduce some kind of Logo/Badge to verify my test results and status. It's a very good idea and many have learn a very good basic from this online course... happy with the material but NOT with the DELAY in introducing LOGO for Analytics Qualified Individual. Atleast allow others to prepare a logo and link it to their profile page???

Google team, your comment will be highly appreciated on this.

Regards,
Hiren

I have passed my Google Analytics Individual Qualification exam with 89% score.

I passed the exam and would really love to have a logo as part of my signature. Is there any update on the logo from google?

Hi All,

Passed the exam earlier this month..85!
Do we have a logo that we can display on our blog and website?

Cheers,
Ketan

I scored exactly 100% !! Another vote for badge request, Google, please consider this as a high priority request :)

Greetings All,
Truly appreciate all the feedback from everyone who has taken the GAIQ test! I know some kind of certification is what you want and we are looking into it. Stay tuned. eva

Hi, is it possible to check (online) if an individual is really certified and how many individuals exist with this certifications? Also, is a logo already available?

Thanks

Alexander said...

Here is another vote for a badge/logo that could be displayed AND verified by a potential client. Otherwise anyone can say they passed the test, resulting in bad customer experience with GA and loss of trust in GA solutions. It just makes good business sense, isn't it, Google?

Tom Stefano said...

another voting for a badge or logo.. thanks google analytics team

LOGO LOGO LOGO... Google must provide logo/badge as an identity. If they dont, the conspiracy may begin . What is the point in providing the certificate and not providing the logo as they both are proofs of our proficiency?? moreover we can display the badge at much more ease than a certificate?? Google..any logical point,in your mind??? We are your lover but..

ziontech said...

I agree with all here, but did anyone else notice the question in the profile section of the testing center:

Are you taking any one of the AdWords Certified Partner Program exams?*
(Google Advertising Fundamentals Exam, Search Advertising Advanced Exam, Display Advertising Advanced Exam, Reporting & Analysis Advanced Exam)

What are these exams???? Can't seem to find them anywhere.

Another vote for a logo or some other kind of acknowledgement that we can use to verify our greatness!

Amitha said...

I can't hear anything on the presentations! Is there a sound track? It takes several minutes to buffer the presentation, and then play it without any sound.

P.S.
All fool proofing checked. Speakers (laptop) on, sound turned full volume, nothing is muted etc etc

EPI said...

The online course was very helpful. But I'm not paying $50 and take the test, until Google give us a confirmed word about the logo.

Others who still not taken the test!

Use this as a way of putting pressure on Google. Pledge that you won't take the quiz, until they finalize the logo thing quickly. As someone said above, without the logo upon passing the thest; there's no point in taking it at $50. We can put a text on our site "Google Analytics Expert".
